Refurbished tennis courts ready for your best shot


The refurbishment of our tennis courts is nearly complete. We still have some minor touch-up painting to do on the light standards, but the concrete walls, stairs and seating are all painted. The courts have been stripped down to bare asphalt and relayered with base coats and new acrylic surface coatings. The net posts have been replaced, 60 percent of the fence posts around the outside were replaced and all the new and old metal posts and rails are freshly painted. …

90th Maui Fair running through the weekend

The 90th Maui Fair opened Thursday with the traditional parade along Kaahumanu and Kanaloa Avenues and will continue through Sunday, Sept. 27, at the War Memorial Complex in Wailuku. Featuring food, rides, exhibits, contests and entertainment, the Maui Fair is fun for the entire family. New keiki rides, more hands-on demonstrations and entertainment and the largest robotics competition ever are just some of the highlights of this year’s fair.
