Property tax bill on your timeshare to decrease in 2012-13

You will soon receive a statement and letter in the mail that detail the significant decrease in property taxes on your timeshare for 2012-13.  Yearly owners of one-, two- and three-bedroom SOK units will all owe less this year. One-bedroom owners will see a nearly 15 percent tax reduction over last year ($109.30 from $125.30), two-bedroom owners a more than 25 percent reduction ($183.30 from $230) and three-bedroom owners a nearly 25 percent reduction ($211.70 from $262.50). Board Of Directors & Management Company Efforts Reduce Property Tax Assessment Amounts

Aloha Fellow Owners, Invoices were recently sent for your annual property taxes covering the County of Maui fiscal year beginning July 2011. The billing also includes the annual land purchase assessment. Sands of Kahana Tax Increase Follow-Up

Fellow Owners, We are very pleased to deliver some great news and some pretty good news on the tax increase proposals in the State of Hawaii. First the great news: the proposed increase in the transient accommodation tax of over 300% did not get approved by the Legislature. Sands of Kahana Tax Increase Proposed By State

Fellow Owners, As previously mentioned, the State of Hawaii is attempting to increase one of the taxes paid by timeshares in the state by 385%. The State sees no downside to increasing taxes on timeshare owners as nearly all timeshare owners are Non-Hawaii residents and don’t vote. New Year! New Sofas!

Every year we work on budgeting “The Furniture Fund” for the following year.  We’re excited to announce that we have earmarked $400k to go towards 2011’s Furniture Fund.  That’s a 4% increase from this year’s fund.  These funds will be allocated toward improvements and upgrades for any hard and soft goods inside the units, including furniture, carpet, appliances and blinds.  Our primary “Furniture Fund” initiative for 2011 will be to reupholster all of the hide-a-bed sofas in all of the …

Vacation Club vs. AOAO: What’s the Difference?
